Your gift will make room for you, sis!

Updated: Feb 25

Proverbs: 18:16(NKJV)

A man’s gift makes room for him and brings him before great men.

Sis, your gift will make room for you. Proverbs 18:16 says this clearly. God created you for the purpose of His Kingdom. He has enabled you to reach people that no one else can, and that’s because He’s gifted you with a gift, a skill or a talent.

This picture is significant because as my husband and I were about to run some errands (he likes taking pictures- bless his heart) I got a message from a young woman going through in her marriage. Typically, I wouldn’t respond until later, but this one tugged on me. I

thought about when I was going through in my marriage and how I had no one to encourage me and I didn’t want to do that to her. It sounded like she needed a word of encouragement right then. I didn’t think twice about it because this is who I am. My purpose is to encourage women in their marriage. I give women what I didn’t have, and I’m honored that God chose me to be the conduit in this season.

What is that thing unique to you that God has for you to do? God chose you to do it because you are that person that thinks outside of the box. Don’t look at what others are doing. The enemy wants you to think your gift is useless and don’t add value.

Your gift is valuable. You may be saying that you don’t know your gift. We all carry qualities

and talents unique to us all. What is your why? What is that thing you are so passionate about? What have you been dreaming about?

The truth is, you have a purpose for being here. God choose you to do that thing and you are the only one that can do it like you. So, ask yourself these questions:

- What are you passionate about?

- What is important to you?

- What do you love?

Choose to accept who God called you to be and if you need a little encouragement, allow these words to resonate in your spirit as you begin to speak life over your gift.

Use these affirmations as daily reminders:

- I am fearfully and wonderfully made.

- I use the gifts God gave me as opportunities to be a blessing to others.

- I walk boldly in who God called me to be.

- My gift adds value.

- I do not covet or want anyone else’s gift.

- I am full of boldness and the confidence that God has given me to walk into my gift.

- I accept what God has for me.

Sis know that God created you with purpose. He will open doors for you that you could never imagine. Know that the more you use your gift, the bigger it gets. There are people waiting on you. So, what are you waiting for? Let’s go!
